Temple's train station may not have a Platform 9 3/4, but you can still catch a magical ride.

The Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum invites wizards and muggles alike to the Wizarding Express Train Ride on Saturday, October 19 and Saturday, October 26. There'll be fun family activities including potion mixing and wand crafting before the conductor gives the "All Aboard!" and you board a train for a ride from Temple to McGregor. (A bus will get you back to Temple.)

If you've got an avid young reader or just want to get the family together for a day of whimsical wizardry, keep an eye on the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum's website. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, October 1st

If you just can't wait an entire month for the fun, don't forget that the museum's Mythical Monster Family Day is scheduled for Saturday, October 6 from 10 AM to 1 PM. It's a free event that invites you to wear a costume and learn about dragons, faeries, the Loch Ness, and Bigfoot with fun activities.

For information, visit the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum's website or give them a call at (254) 298-5172. The museum is located at 315 W Avenue B.
