New Murder Of Texas Child Happened During Botched Robbery
Austin, Texas has several families all simultaneously in a state of upheaval because of the actions of three different children in what police have described as an attempted robbery that clearly went very wrong with two teen kids now facing murder charges, and another, only 13 years old, is dead from being shot. Just after 8:30 last Thursday evening, the victim and another teen were allegedly traveling in a stolen car into East Austin to meet up with a third teenager, at some point it is believed the first two teens attempted to rob the third, and that is when a shootout occurred.

The details can be a bit difficult to follow as all three parties are minors, and until the two that have been charged with murder are done so as adults, it could be possible that the local authorities never release their names.
The shooting took place in the 6500 block of Thurgood Avenue, and it is unknown how far the original two teens traveled in the stolen vehicle to rendezvous with the third teen. After the robbery, it is believe all three teenagers engaged in the shootout.

The now identified 13 year old, Jeremiah Cavazos, was shot in the back, and while attempting to flee in the stolen car, he was thrown from the vehicle. He later died from his injuries.
According to this Fox 7 article, the teen accomplice has now been charged with Capital Murder, and the third teen is charged with First Degree Murder.
