Atlanta Braves pitcher Tim Hudson was doing well against the New York Mets on Wednesday night until Eric Young Jr. brought an end to his night and his season.

Young stepped down hard on Hudson's ankle as the pitcher covered first after a hard grounder. Hudson's ankle bent to a sickening degree, and Young appeared to be in tears as he apologized to the Atlanta veteran as he was strapped onto a cart and taken off the field. (Pay close attention to how the Citi Field crowd reacts to seeing the replay.)
