Groom em' while they are young!

Second grade students at Williams/ Ledger Elementary in Copperas Cove are now participating in a pilot program called "The Buddy League" presented by H-E-B.

According to a U.S. study released today, bullying at school affects students' emotional and social lives, along with their schoolwork and engagement with other classmates.

Students involved in the program who exhibit "Buddy League behavior" will be nominated for a Student Advocate Award and a $50 savings bond and other cool prizes with the teacher receiving money for school supplies.

If all goes well, this program will be statewide for all second graders beginning next year.
