A Bell County Justice Of The Peace who made national headlines for setting a $4 billion dollar bond was found unfit to hold office by a jury on Wednesday according to KWTX News 10.

Claudia Brown was immediately suspended from office without pay and will be removed from office as soon as the judge, Stephen Ables, signs the order.

A Killeen attorney filed the petition to have Brown removed from the bench after Brown set a $4 billion dollar bond for murder suspect Antonio Willis.

It was the first trial of a removal petition in the county in 33 years according to the Bell County Attorney's Office. The eight-woman, four-man jury returned the verdict early Wednesday evening after two hours of deliberation and Brown has 5 days to appeal the decision.

Brown has denied any wrongdoing, but she has said she knows the bond she set for Antonio Willis was unconstitutional.
