City of Belton officials are inviting the public to a meeting to discuss the first draft of a Parks Master Plan crafted with community input.

The meeting is scheduled for 6 PM, Monday, May 9, at the Harris Community Center - 401 N Alexander St.  Light refreshments will be served.

The City of Belton Parks Board met for a workshop on May 2 to draft a plan based on the 396 responses they received to a public survey conducted from February through the first week of April.

At the May 9 meeting, the board will present the draft and give the public a final opportunity to participate in deciding the needs and priorities that will be considered in the expansion and future development of Belton's parks.
