Belton School District Set To Welcome A New Campus

News broke in CTX that we will be welcoming a brand new school to the Belton district.

On Monday, the Belton Independent School Board approved a plan to add additional space due to the incline of enrollment. Now, the district released a statement saying
"Roadmap to BISD 2025 calls for building a new elementary school and a new high school. In addition, Bhs9, which is part of the high school campus, to serve as a middle school again".

To begin construction, funding needs to be approved by voters. If approved by voters in 2017, construction for the elementary school could start as early as that year with the campus opening in 2019. The high school construction could start in 2018 with the campuses opening in 2021.

According to the school district this seems to be very good news, seeing as though enrollment has nearly grown by 3,500 students.
