The City Of Belton Announces Small Business Covid Grant
Good News for Belton small businesses that have suffered from the effects of COVID-19. Starting Monday, September 14 you may begin to apply for Coronavirus relief grants.
Phase 1 starts with local businesses being able to apply for grants of up to $2,000 each.
The City of Belton announced that it has over $60,000 in funding available from an allocation of the 2020 CARES Act.
To apply you must provide the following information:
- Number of employees
- Proof of revenue decline
- Proof of impact of COVID-19 on business
- Proposed use of funding
- If funds have been applied for and/or received from elsewhere
- Proof of closure and/or operation on a limited capacity
- Certification of accuracy of information provided
The Central Texas Council of Governments (CTCOG) is administering the grant program in behalf of the City. Applications are available at beltontexas.gov/covidgrant.
You still have time, but like anything else I would hurry and apply so your chances improve to obtain one of these grants.
The application deadline is 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 28.
