The Texas All-Star High School games are coming to Temple's Wildcat Stadium on June 22 and a local player from Belton has been named to one of the rosters.

Tiger midfielder Angel Hernandez scored 23 goals and had six assists this year to lead the Belton boys to a share of the District 8-5A title with Hewitt Midway.

The District 8-5A Offensive Most Valuable player will play on the North roster in the North vs South boys game at noon and will be preceded by the girls All-Star game at 9:30 a.m. A live radio broadcast of both games will air on 1400 KTEM-AM beginning at 9 a.m. and continue through to the trophy presentation.

General admission tickets, good for both games, are only $10 and reserved, chair back seating is $15. Tickets can be purchased at Holloway Sports and Sports World or by calling 254-773-5252!  For more information about the event, check out myktem.com/texasallstarsoccergames.
