Biz Markie reveals why he, too, had to make a payment to 50 Cent.

Earlier this month (June 15), the "Just a Friend" rapper posted a photo of him handing the G-Unit CEO several food stamps while at a festival in Minneapolis. Since Fofty's face in the photo is noticeably unenthused by Markie's choice of currency, TMZ had to ask the rap legend what happened that day. During their brief chat at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. on Thursday (June 27), Markie reveals that he reportedly owed 50 money for a meal from a Chinese restaurant they went to together years ago.

"I knew 50 from early '90s, '80s and, you know, we went to the Chinese restaurant one time," Markie explains. "He bought the food, and I owed him. Since it's interest and he got mad at me, I didn't want to go to court so I had to pay him back with food stamps."

Markie also said that he agrees with Fofty doing the most to collect his debts. In the past few months, 50 Cent has put several artists like Teairra Mari, Bow Wow, Don Q, Dave East, Fabolous, Young Buck and more for allegedly owing him money. Despite the beef that has stemmed from Fofty's aggressive ways, Markie believes the rapper has all the reason to do it.

"I'm just saying if you borrow, then you gotta pay back. Bottom line," Markie said.
