BlocBoy JB is once again facing trouble with the law.

On Friday (May 3), Memphis news outlet WHBQ FOX13 reported that the 2018 XXL Freshman was arrested and booked at the Shelby County Jail on Thursday night (May 2). He was subsequently charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun, speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance marijuana.

According to the local news report, BlocBoy was at his home near Shelby Drive and Forest Hill Irene Road when police raided the premises. Shelby County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) deputies describe the raid as a part of a multi-agency investigation and that 20 people were detained from the home. BlocBoy's lawyer, Murray Wells, told the news outlet he doesn't believe the rapper was the intended target of the raid.

“They weren’t looking for him, and there was no warrant for him personally,” Wells said. “They may have been looking for other suspects on the premises.”

Authorities carefully searched his home and pulled several things from the property. As of this report, law enforcement officials haven't revealed what they discovered inside BlocBoy's home.

BlocBoy, who was born James Baker, is scheduled to perform at the 2019 Beale Street Music Festival on the FedEx Stage at 7:20 p.m. today. At this time, there's no word on whether he will be able to make it to his set.

BlocBoy's latest bit of legal drama comes two months after he turned himself in to police on drug, gun and theft charges. XXL has reached out to BlocBoy JB's camp for comment.
