California Police Officer Shoots & Kills Dog Protecting Owner [GRAPHIC VIDEO]

I have to admit, I'm not a big pet lover.  Maybe because when I was younger we owned pets that would eventually pass away and I couldn't handle the passing of a loved one.  But, when I meet someone's pet, they almost always come up to me and sit with me.  I don't know what effect I have on them, but always seems to work out that way.

But, a dog protecting its owner is just doing its job and a I guess a group of Hawthorne, California police officers felt threatened enough to shoot and kill a dog while doing just that.

The rottweiler had lunged at officers while they were attempting to arrest its master. The dogs owner, Leon Rosby, was arrested after he refused to turn down “loud” car music during an incident were police had surrounded a home which reportedly housed a gunman that had robbed two people. The video shows an officer shooting the dog multiple times. *Please be advised, the video is extremely graphic in nature*
