The nation was rocked by not one but two mass shootings over the weekend that took place in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.

Twenty people were killed and another 26 injured when a gunman, identified as Patrick Crusius, 21, opened fire at a Wal-Mart in El Paso on Saturday (Aug. 3). Afterward, he was arrested and taken into custody. Crusius was reportedly targeting Hispanic Americans during his terrorist act.

In Ohio, 10 people were killed and at least 26 injured on Sunday morning (Aug. 4) in a shooting near a popular nightclub in the Oregon District of downtown Dayton. Officers killed the shooter, later identified as 24-year-old Connor Betts, after he opened fire with high-powered assault rifle.

Needless to say, the two tragedies so close together have sent a shock wave through the country and again brought the issue of gun control to the forefront. Members of the hip-hop community are also weighing in on the devastating events.

Cardi B, who is on a tour break before hitting the road again later this month, chimed in on Instagram with a post about the El Paso shooter that is making its rounds on the internet. The post gives info on the suspect and points out the fact that Crusius, a white male, is the opposite of the right-wing model of terrorism.

She also called President Trump to task on Twitter.

"We have enough information already!" she replied to a post from the president updating the situation. "Both of the shooters are white supremacist terrorist with intentions to kill minority’s .Law enforcement took rapid action but what are YOU going to do to control some of your RACIST SUPPORTERS?"

T.I. posted a graphic that shows the numbers of mass shootings this year in America as opposed to other countries. The statistics are shocking.

"I don’t think this makes US 'Great Again'...," the Us or Else rapper captioned the post.
