As we reported last week, Carly Rae Jepsen was recently spotted out and about with boyfriend and fellow musician Matthew Koma. Well, turns out that’s not the man who inspired her mega hit ‘Call Me Maybe.’ Jepsen dumped the ‘CMM’ boyfriend because she got too busy. Say what?! Someone’s treading into some dangerous Taylor Swift territory here.

Here’s the backstory: Carly Rae Jepsen was previously with Jordi Ashworth, who she was just gushing about in an interview with Sunday World this past spring. “Jordi is studying to become an architect, but right now he’s taking some time out to come along and be involved in this adventure with me. It’s nice that I don’t get lonely.” She added, ”He blushes when he hears the song (‘Call Me Maybe’), but I write a song a week, so he has a couple of CDs worth of songs dedicated to him.” She even told  Us Weekly that Ashworth is “an amazing guy.”

But now the 26-year-old singer is canoodling with Matthew Koma, who watched the starlet from backstage at the MixTape Festival in Hershey, Penn. on Aug. 18. “She really likes him!” said a source about Jepsen’s new flame.

Poor old Ashworth was kicked to the curb because the singer’s budding schedule was filling up fast. ”Carly broke up with Jordi in June because her schedule got crazy,” said a source. And yet, the architecture student cleared his schedule to go on tour with her. How… nice.
