The N.W.A biopic 'Straight Outta Compton' has become a huge box office success for Universal. Now comes word that a sequel involving two of the most respected West Coast icons in hip-hop -- Snoop Dogg and the late Tupac Shakur -- is in the works.

Hip-hop journalist Denise “Dee” Barnes criticized the producers of the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton of concealing the truth and not include the beating she suffered by the hands of Dr. Dre years ago in the movie. But it turns out that the violent incident was in the film’s original screenplay.

As expected, the N.W.A biopic 'Straight Outta Compton' went straight to No. 1 at the box office, raking in an estimated $56.1 million over the three-day weekend.
