KWTX is reporting that Waco's favorite couple is taking steps to be even bigger by creating it's own TV network.

It'll be based in Waco and Knoxville, Tennessee.

Their company, Magnolia, will team up with Discovery, Inc.

The TV network will replace Discovery's DIY Network. They'll also unveil an App next summer, plus a subscription streaming service at a later date to be announced.

The Gaines released a statement Wednesday..."Our intention with this network is to create and curate content that inspires, encourages, and helps to build bridges across our communities. We want honest, authentic programming that brings families together. We believe (Discovery CEO) David Zaslav and the team at Discovery are the perfect partners for this ambitious joint venture, and we know Allison Page is the right person to lead this charge. We're ready to get started and are expectant for all that's ahead."

It's being reported that the Gaines will serve as the new network's chief creative officers and HGTV President Allison Page will serve as president.

I'm guessing my mother will be the first to sign up for this. She only visits Texas to see the Gaines. The fact that her son lives here is just an added bonus.
