Chris Brown, Mustard, Freddie Gibbs and More: New Projects This Week
Several leading entertainers drop new projects just in time for the Fourth of July.
Chris Brown, who will be hitting the road on tour this summer, delivers his ninth studio album, Indigo. The lengthy project features collaborations with Drake, Tory Lanez, Lil Wayne, Joyner Lucas and more. Peaking in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100, the Drizzy-assisted “No Guidance” is already being considered a song of the summer. The highly-anticipated Indigo is C. Breezy’s first full-length release since 2017’s extra long Heartbreak on a Full Moon.
The platinum sounds of Mustard can be found on Perfect Ten. The Grammy Award-winning producer’s latest album comes complete with 10 anthems and includes the Migos-assisted platinum single “Pure Water” and the posse cut “On God” featuring the likes of A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, YG and Tyga. Other guests who appear throughout Mustard’s third album include Young Thug, Future, Meek Mill, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Playboi Carti and the late Nipsey Hussle.
Freddie Gibbs and Madlib have teamed up again for their highly anticipated collaboration album Bandana. The dynamic duo return with the assistance of Killer Mike, Anderson .Paak, Pusha-T, Yasiin Bey and Black Thought, who contributed to the “Thuggin” collaborators’ first album in around five years. Gibbs and Madlib first connected on 2014’s critically acclaimed Piñata.
