Cinemark Holdings, Inc. announced Wednesday plans to construct a 12-screen, all-digital movie theater.

"The theater will anchor the redevelopment of the Outdoor America Mall and will feature the company's new Cinemark NextGen design concept," a spokesperson said,

The Outdoor America Mall, located just south of the intersection of I-35 and SW HK Dodgen Loop 363, will be renamed Gateway Center.

NextGen includes wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-floor screens available in all auditoriums, 4K digital projection powered by Barco projectors, RealD 3D capability and enhanced sound systems.

The theater will also feature a self-serve concession stand and Cinemark XD, which is a custom digital surround sound setup and plush seating.

"We are thrilled to introduce our new Cinemark NextGen movie theater experience to guests who live in the Temple/Belton area," Cinemark Chief Executive Officer Tim Warner said.

The theater is scheduled to open in the fall of 2013.
