Cove’s Alyssa Ranard Passes Away After Battle With Cancer

Sad news to report from Copperas Cove today.

Ten-year-old Alyssa Ranard passed away this morning at 6:15 after a battle with cancer.

Alyssa had been battling Metastatic Multifocal Osteosarcoma since early June of this year, when she was diagnosed. This type of cancer attacks the bones, and is said to be extremely rare and difficult to treat.

Her family needs help paying for her funeral and memorial. Here's where we come in to help. Misty Rich, Alyssa's mother, has set up an account for donations at Chase, account #479583580. Scott's Funeral Home of Copperas Cove will be handling arrangements, and dates and times of services are pending and we will let you know that information as soon as it is available.
