Ladies and gentleman, put your political fears aside. Apparently our solution to world peace has a name, and it's Dennis Rodman.

At a scheduled press conference held Monday morning, retired NBA star Dennis Rodman shocked the US when he revealed his plans to host a basketball event in Pyongyang, the North Korean capital, next January. Rodman's plans to assemble an all star team, including Scottie Pippen and Karl Malone, were announced after he returned from his second trip to North Korea, where he was visiting the one and only Kim Jong-un.

Rodman also announced that if the basketball event went well, he would also like to train North Korean athletes for the 2016 Olympics. When the press responded to this statement with jokes, Rodman responded strongly, stating "I'm not a joke, take me seriously!" According to the former NBA bad boy, sports and "himself" are the two things that could bridge the gap between the US and North Korea. He goes on to address President Obama, saying that he needs to speak with Rodman before he continues his plans with Syria. Clearly flustered, he states "You don't have a problem talking to Jay-z or Beyonce. Talk to me!"

It's not a huge surprise that Rodman wants to spend more time in North Korea. His budding "friendship" with Kim Jong-un has been widely publicized in the media. Dennis even claims to be the first American to hold Kim's new baby girl. In fact, Rodman even told the press he'd like to bring Kim to a Knicks game! A trip that Kim would reportedly be on board for!
