Diddy has changed his name, again. On Saturday (Nov. 4), the rap mogul celebrated his 48th birthday in Mexico and made a public service announcement on social media.

Diddy, who was born Sean John Combs, announced that he’s changing his moniker from "Diddy" to "Love" or "Brother Love."

"I have been praying on this. I know it's risky and it could come off as corny to some people," he said in the video above. "I've decided to change my name again.

"I'm just not who I am before, I'm something different," he continued. "So my new name is Love, aka Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy or any of my other monikers."

"It's my birthday, I feel good. God is the greatest... and I thank my mommy and daddy," he concluded.

We don't know if Diddy, uh, Brother Love, was joking or not. But this isn't the first time he caught fans off guard with a sudden name change.

In 1997, Sean was known as "Puff Daddy" but a year later, he went back to using his real name Sean John. In 1999, he started calling himself "P.Diddy" before settling with "Diddy."

So for now, the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO is calling himself Brother Love.

"Thank you for everyone wishing me a happy birthday!!" he wrote on his Instagram page. "Just sharing with y'all my wonderful day. I just want to spread this love and positive energy!! #TeamLove #BrotherLove."
