Temple, Texas would like to remind you that fireworks are illegal in the city limits.

The Killeen Daily Herald reports that fireworks are legal in Bell County, but illegal inside the city limits, meaning you can not sell, possess, or set off fireworks in the city limits.

As tempting as it is to celebrate the new year by blowing up hundreds of dollars of fireworks, it is illegal to do so in the city limits of Temple and its surrounding neighborhoods.

Fireworks are fun, but not everyone gets the same enjoyment out of them as others do. KCEN reports that, according to the City of Temple, fireworks can aggravate those with PTSD, particularly for veterans and first responders.
