Drake, Lil Durk, Rich The Kid and More: New Projects This Week
The first week of August is being ushered in with the help of a few newly-released projects.
We might not get a new summer album from Drake, who wrapped his Assassination Vacation Tour earlier this year, but the 6 God has something special for fans. This week, Drizzy delivers the Care Package compilation, which features tracks that were previously released by one means or another but never appeared on an album. Songs include "Jodeci Freestyle" featuring J. Cole, "Free Spirit" featuring Rick Ross and more.
Last month, Lil Durk revealed that Love Songs 4 the Streets 2 was on the way. According to the Remember My Name rapper, the project, which arrives on Friday (Aug. 2), was made for “‘women, my day one’s, the trenches, and all those that doubted.” His new release houses several collaborations, including the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Extravagant” and the single “Green Light,” which recently received a Cole Bennett-directed video.
Following a few delays, Rich The Kid’s crew project, Rich Forever 4, is finally here. Released only months after the “Plug Walk” rapper’s sophomore album, The World Is Yours 2, hit DSPs, the compilation features the Rich Forever Music head honcho stunting alongside squad members like Jay Critch, 83 Babies Yung Bino and R&B singer Airi.
After making a splash with Fever, Detroit rapper and producer Black Milk is back with Dive. A continuation of his 2018 project, the “Black Nasa” artist’s new EP finds the Mass Appeal signee focused on progression, while collaborating with artists such as Sam Austins, Phil Swish, his little brother MAHD and BJ The Chicago Kid, who contributes his vocals to “If U Say.”
