CTC Geekfest 2014 will be at the Mayborn Science Theater on Friday, August 15, Saturday, August 16, and Sunday, August 17. Geekfest 2014 will feature activities targeting adults and youth interested in science fiction, fantasy, super heroes, video games and other technology-related fields. Activities will include video game tournaments, cake, anime & costume contests, a Geek Glow Wars 5k, Humans vs Zombies, movie screenings, interactive video game demonstrations, presentations and entertainment by local groups and companies, vendor booths and a silent auction. Entry will be $10 in advance for 3 days or $40 for VIP (limited quantities available), or $18 at the door for 3 days, $12 for one day (military/family/CTC discounts available), or $50 VIP.

The purpose of Geekfest 2014 is to raise money for the CTC Ambassador program, which was created in March of 2009 to assist with community outreach, recruitment and retention. Businesses and individuals are invited to be involved in this exciting event by event sponsorship, providing door prizes or silent auction items, and participating as a vendor and/or workshop speaker. Vendor booth fees run as low as $100 for two days and can include in-kind donations. Presentations can be on any “geeky” topic, and we are open to suggestions for topics. We encourage anyone that is an expert on any geeky subject to send us your ideas!
