Feast Your Eyes On The Biggest Restaurant In Texas Seating 2,800 People
We've heard it many times before: things are bigger in Texas. But what I've recently discovered takes "big" to a whole new level. Billed as the biggest restaurant in Texas, The Oasis on Lake Travis in Austin is a multi-tiered, half-inside/half-outside Tex-Mex dining experience. I'm willing to bet you've never seen a place quite like this.
An article from Only In Your State brought this restaurant to my attention. For starters, it seats up to 2,800 people. That's more spacious than some concert halls. Then there are the sunsets. Oh goodness, the sunsets. The Oasis is known as the "sunset capital of Texas." You'll also find some of the tastiest-looking dishes you'll ever lay eyes on. But don't take my word for it. These pictures alone will make you wish you were there. Look on and you'll see what I mean.

The Oasis is a multi-tiered restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating.
With this many seats, it's like an entire community coming together for dinner.
Whether you want to enjoy covered dining or not, there's a seat for you at The Oasis.
Inside you'll find enough room to host receptions, parties, and more.
Imagine this as the atmosphere as you enjoy your dinner.
It's easy to see how the restaurant gets its nickname, "the sunset capital of Texas."
Just one of the many views you can have at The Oasis to enjoy God's handiwork.
And that is one nice-looking plate of fajitas.
The tasty visuals keep coming with a Tex-Mex favorite: taquitos.
I'm not sure about you but these pictures have me sold. The Oasis has just bumped up on my Texas must-not-miss list. There are not very many restaurants out there that have their own dedicated gift shop but you'll find one at The Oasis. Catching a gorgeous sunset while enjoying some delicious Tex-Mex sounds great to me. How about you?
If you can't wait for that tasty taco, that's no problem. There are plenty of great joints right here in Abilene. Keep scrolling to check out the variety.
