Fort Hood Soldiers are Set to Deploy this Spring

The soldiers in Fort Hood are set to deploy to Afghanistan this spring. With news breaking this morning, we were made aware that this deployment is in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel which encourages the rotation of soldiers.

According to KCENTV, Maj. Gen. John C. Thomson III, commander, 1st Cavalry Division said, "The troopers of the regiment are well-trained, well-equipped, and most importantly well-led. They are absolutely ready for this important mission."

Since 1846, The 3rd Cavalry Regiments has always been a helping hand whenever the Army has called and now the legacy continues.
