Last night, the 59th Annual Grammy Awards took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and it was packed with A-listers and performances. While the stage was graced by some epic performers, including a pregnant Beyoncé, there were also some historic moments that occurred when the awards were being presented.

It was a huge evening for Chance the Rapper, as well as Adele, who cleaned up with some major Grammys to take home.  There were even a lot of performances that spoke out against President Donald Trump.

    Beyoncé's Performance

    Queen Bey did an incredible performance, which paid homage to Yoruba goddess Oshun (the goddess of love) where she showed off her bare pregnant belly, and sang "Love Drought," as well as fan favorite "Sandcastles" off of her Lemonade album.

    Chance the Rapper Had the Best Night of His Life

    The Chicago rapper had a historic evening, as he won the Grammy awards for both Best New Artist, and Best Rap Album, and brought church to the Grammy stage. Not only did he thank Soundcloud during one of his speeches, but he also brought out a full church choir for his performance, including Tamela Mann and Kirk Franklin. It was also a huge deal for Chance to win Best Rap Album, as the independent artist beat out Drake's Views album, as well as Kanye's The Life of Pablo.

    Blue Ivy Stole the Show

    The daughter of Beyoncé and Jay Z isn't always in the public eye, but last night, she didn't hesitate taking the spotlight a few times. During a segment for James Corden's spontaneous car karaoke, as celebrities were singing to Neil Diamond's "Sweet Caroline," little Blue ran over to the group and got right in on the action. She was also rocking an adorable outfit that paid tribute to music icon, Prince.

    A Tribe Called Quest Got Political

    The legendary rap group did a Phife Dawg tribute performance, but also directly addressed President Donald Trump by tearing down a fake wall, and inviting a diverse group of immigrants to the stage. Accompanied by Anderson .Paak on the drums, Busta Rhymes also came out, and called Trump "President Agent Orange."

    Katy Perry teams up with a Marley

    The pop sensation debuted the first live performance of her new song, "Chained To The Rhythm," where she brought out Skip Marley who joins her on the track. The two also used their performance's imagery to speak out against the government and their latest controversial political moves.

    Solange Won Her First Grammy

    Her sister may've been snubbed for Album of Year but Solange took home a nice win for Best R&B Performance with "Cranes in the Sky," the standout record from incredible album, A Seat At the Table. It was Solo's first ever nomination, and win.
