Rachel Lindsay of Dallas is the First Black “Bachelorette” In 21 Seasons on ABC

"It's no different than any other Bachelorette" said Rachel Lindsay, a 31 year old lawyer from Dallas and first - ever African American Woman selected to become "The Bachelorette".

The popular ABC reality show has aired 21 seasons with the star of the show "The Bachelor" always selecting a white woman.

Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan asked Lindsay if she was surprised that her mother asked "The Bachelor" Nick Viall how he feels being in a interracial relationship. 'Well I know my mom, I am not shocked that my mom asked that, my sister is married to a white guy, and so it's nothing new to our family'.

The Bachelor airs Monday nights on ABC.
