Intruder Bun B Shot Pleads Guilty to Aggravated Robbery: Report
A home intruder Bun B shot to protect himself and his family has entered a plea.
On Tuesday (Dec. 10), Demonte Jackson pleaded guilty to two charges of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and one count burglary of a habitation in a Houston courtroom, according to KPRC News. The charges stem from his attempted break-in at Bun's Texas home in April of this year.
According to reports of the incident, a man knocked on the door of Bun B's home on April 23. When Jackson knocked, Bun's wife, Queenie, opened the door only to find that Jackson was an armed burglar. As Queenie directed him to her Audi in their garage following his request for valuables, Bun grabbed his own gun upstairs and confronted the suspect, who was later identified as Jackson. A scuffle ensued and shots were fired by Bun before Jackson fled on foot, leaving his own gun behind.
Jackson was arrested later that day after showing up at a Houston-area hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound.
In an interview with Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club the following week, both Bun and Queenie went into detail about the harrowing ordeal. Adding some comedic relief to the intense story, Bun revealed that throughout the entire confrontation he didn't have pants on.
"I'm in the bathroom, to be honest," Bun said on the show. "I'm on the toilet and so I hear what's going on and I'm like, this is it! This is the moment I always talk about. Somebody's in my house right now, threatening my wife. So I hop off the toilet, I run and go get the pistol."
A lawyer for Bun B confirmed to XXL earlier this year that no charges have been leveled against the rapper, and none have been filed since the April incident.
Jackson will return to court to be sentenced on March 3. XXL has reached out to the Harris County District Clerk's Office for confirmation on this report.
