Texans Are Skipping Town For This “Little Amsterdam” in New Mexico

Recreational weed is still illegal in Texas, but that's not stopping smokers from skipping town and heading over to New Mexico for a little taste of the Devil's lettuce. Sunland Park has become a mecca for pot enthusiasts who live in the El Paso area. Who can blame them? It's just a hop, skip, and jump to get some of the good stuff.

Dispensaries can't control where you take products after you purchase them, but Texas buyers need to be careful. Troopers are on high alert and paying attention to the increase in Texas plates in border towns with dispensaries. It might be a better idea to book an Airbnb and get blitzed in New Mexico before you head back to the Lone Star State. Going to jail for pot is lame. If you're going to get arrested, let it be for something a little cooler...

Maybe one day Texas will get on board with the rest of the states that have finally realized how stupid it is to keep marijuana illegal, but I have a feeling our leaders will go down kicking and screaming. Hold fast, guys. Good things are on the horizon.... it's just going to be a while...
