2024 Lexus TX: The SUV Aimed At Texans
- You can never have too many SUVs to choose from these days, and bigger is always better.
- Is this the first vehicle named after Texas?
- The luxury wing of Toyota has a new family SUV.
We have seen many different auto manufacturers try to tap into the mystique of the Lone Star State. They usually reserve the Texas moniker for the largest full-size pick-up trucks manufactured in the United States.
Here is a list of some of the most iconic Texas-themed trucks over the years:
- Chevy Silverado - Texas Edition
- Ram - Lone Star Edition
- Ram - Laramie Longhorn
- Ford F150 - Texas Edition and King Ranch
- Nissan - Texas Titan
- Toyota Tundra - Texas Edition and 1794
Some prefer the Tundra 1794 and the Ford F-150 King Ranch. These names are a little more subtle, but both are nods to Texas ranches.
Is This The First Texas-Themed SUV?
Though the Toyota Sequoia is one of the few SUVs made in Texas, it is named after a U.S. National Forest in California. If there is a Texas named or themed SUV I haven't heard of it.
Everyone loves a good rhyme, and Texas Lexus has most likely been bopping around in designers' heads at Toyota since the inception of the luxury brand. Now they have finally made an SUV that they think is exactly what Texans want.
Three Rows Of Seating In The Lexus TX
Three rows of seating with some room left for cargo is the name of the game. Fuel economy is also a hot topic for long-haul Texas commuters now returning to the office.
According to Forbes the new TX is the first Lexus SUV to give us that proper adult-sized third row.
Sip gas with the plug-in hybrid version of the luxury SUV that has a 33-mile range just on the electric battery. The same SUV is the F Sport version and has 404 combined horsepower.
The base TX 350 starts at $55,050 in front-wheel drive, and the TX 550h+ Luxury AWD version starts at $78,050.
