Here’s Your Chance to Learn About Being Nudist in Texas

Texas is home to a very eclectic group of people, that's why Texas is a great state with so many different people and walks of life.  Texas's geography is also great from flat lands, to hills to beaches, this state is perfect for anyone.

A few years ago, I shared an article about the best nudist camps in Texas.   I researched places in Texas that were clothing-optional and shared a few details, locations, etc.

However, after the article was published, I received emails from different people that live a naturist lifestyle, some were polite, and others were downright angry because some of the terms I used and the places I shared.  It was offensive to some who opt out of wearing clothing.

One email was from Ronna Krozy, the Public Relations Chair of the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR).  I spent some time talking with her and learning about the nudist/naturist lifestyle.  I wrote a follow-up article sharing the things I learned.

About a year later, I received a phone call from Ronna asking for my address, and a few weeks later I received an award from the AANR for the article.

How Do I Learn More About Being a Nudist/Naturist?

Ronna recently reached out to share information about a conference in San Antonio in  April.  The World Social Science Association is having its annual conference April 3-6 at the Hyatt Regency in San Antonio.  This is the 66th year of the conference and it covers many different areas of social science including Women's Health, Gender, Social Psychology, and other topics including Nudism.

The sessions on Nudism will take place on April 4th.

The first session will be moderated by Richard Dewey with AANR, from 1 pm -2:30 pm

• Larry Gould with Northern Arizona University will speak on Naturism and Sexuality: A stigma within a stigma
• Ronna E Krozy with AANR will speak on The Burden of Secrecy

The second session, moderated by Richard Dewey with AANR, will take place from 2:45 pm to 4:15 pm.

• Larry Gould with Northern Arizona University will speak on The Impact of Social Nudity on Children: A Meta Analysis
• Tom Stark with Cairn University will speak on Social Nudism and Societal Misconceptions: Building A Website that Bridges The Gap
• William Schroer with the Naturist Action Committee/Naturist Education Foundation will speak on Clothe-Free Living in America
