The arrest was carried out by the Bell County Sheriff's Office, the Parker County Sheriff's Office, and the Waco Police Department following an investigation.

Authorities stated that Kennith Hayes Mackie will be held in Parker County Jail and later transferred to Bell County. According to police, the theft took place on April 12. An alarm was triggered at the business on Texas Highway 36, prompting a quick response from Bell County sheriff’s deputies. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the front door had been forced open and an ATM was missing. They reviewed security footage, which showed two masked individuals driving a blue SUV.
