The city of Killeen was full of excitement as the community came together at the Senior Center at Lions Club Park to support U.S. Representative Jasmine Crockett. According to KWTX, the 30th Congressional District representative is currently making her way across the state as she campaigns for a U.S. Senate seat. Crockett said she is proud of the early voting numbers in the state. She added that the entire country is watching Texas.

Here Is What Crockett Had To Say

“They believe that we are going to fall again, but they need to understand that we are only rising,” Crockett said. She also stated that Texans are going back to their roots. Crockett spoke about what she called the “big, beautiful bill,” immigration enforcement, and the federal budget before turning to legislation proposed by Donald Trump.

She questioned the impact of healthcare access, asking, “Do you know that we’re trying to estimate how many people are going to die because they don’t have healthcare?”

She emphasized that Texans need to understand the urgency of the moment, calling it a matter of life and death. Crockett said voters need to send someone who will stand up to anyone who tries to harm people in the state. Being there yesterday and seeing so many Central Texans come out to support her was truly amazing. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many people out, especially for early voting. I guess we’ll just have to see what happens.
