
Armed Witness Steps In To Stop Violent Killeen Domestic Disturbance; Suspect Dead
According to KWTX, on Sunday, January 18, at approximately 1:34 p.m., a domestic violence disturbance occurred in the 2600 block of Illinois Avenue in Killeen, Texas. Unfortunately, a 58-year-old man died after being shot by a bystander who attempted to intervene in the incident.

What Happened On That Sunday Afternoon?
Police say the man was shot multiple times outside a breezeway and was immediately transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. He was listed in critical condition and later died from his injuries. A 45-year-old woman was also taken to the hospital. She was transported to Seton Medical Center with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
Here Is What Witnesses Had To Say
According to witnesses, the woman was screaming, and a man was seen pointing a gun at her. A 66-year-old man who was walking nearby heard the disturbance and attempted to intervene to help the woman. Investigators say the 58-year-old man then pointed a gun at both individuals, prompting the bystander to shoot. The gunfire struck both the suspect and the woman. At this time, the Bell County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case, and no arrests have been made.
