Tailgate parties before Baylor football games will be “livelier” this year.

Baylor Backyard Live

Baylor University says it is going to liven things up this fall during football tailgate parties. The University says the goal of the concert series “Baylor Backyard Live” in the Baylor Backyard tailgate area, is to "elevate the atmosphere surrounding all six home football games" at McLane Stadium this season.

The Music

The University says Baylor Backyard Live will feature "high energy cover bands and a mix of local artists".Jason Cook, Baylor's Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Chief Marketing Officer said, "Over the past several years across the country, we've seen a convergence of college football and music across all genres. Live music is a great way to bring people together in a fun, energetic environment. We've seen it through our concert lineup at Foster Pavilion and McLane Stadium, and we're excited to bring this energy to tailgating before each football game this fall. It just fits with the new Fan First focus."
