Boredom-Busters: The Killeen-Temple Guide to Surviving and Thriving During a Winter Lock-In
It looks like we will all be stuck at home this weekend and maybe into the beginning of next week. That doesn’t mean you have to be bored!!
Plug In The Phones While You Play Some Games
In Killeen-Temple winter weather, you never know how long the electricity will be on, so plug in your phone, leave it alone, and play some games. Most of us have a ton of games sitting on a shelf somewhere in the house, and now is the time to put them to good use! Whether it is Cards Against Humanity, UNO, Scrabble or Mind The Gap, playing a game is a great way to spend a bad weather day.
Crank Out The Comfort Food
Nothing is better on a cold day than eating something loaded with carbs. I know, we will hate ourselves when this winter storm is over, but now is not the time to think about it. Mac and Cheese, Chili, Spaghetti, and Beef Stew all all great options. Did I mention cheese and queso? How about hot chocolate? Whatever you do, do not forget about bread. Better yet, bake some!
Pull Out The Puzzles!
Odds are you have several puzzles that you haven’t even started because you think you do not have the time to finish them. Now you do!! Just make sure none of the pieces fall on the floor. You do not want to make it to the last piece only to discover that your furry baby had it for a snack.
Binge Away!
Is there a movie franchise you never had time to watch? Now you do! The list is endless. Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Alien, Predator, Lord of the Rings, John Wick, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, X Men, Transformers, The Godfather, etc. are all great picks.
