
Three Texas Teens Now Charged With Murder Attempt Of Mother
Houston, Texas area law enforcement authorities say the have apprehended three teenagers for allegedly attacking their mother with a deadly weapon, and based on information gathered, the three children were attacking the mother because she disconnected the Wi-Fi.

According to this KHOU article, the teens, ages 14, 15, and 16, coordinated to murder their own mother simply because she turned off the Wi-Fi in their westerns Harris County, Texas home. When authorities arrived, they learned that the teenagers became angry when the Wi-Fi was disabled, and responded by taking possession of kitchen knives and chasing their mother through the house and into the street.

Even though I am not yet a father of 3 teenagers, the day is coming when all three of my kids will be teens, and by then I hope they have been raised well enough to never raise a hand, let alone a knife to their mother just because they are not receiving what they want.

I understand the desire to be connected to the internet, but that world wide web feeds and enables all kinds of poor behavior. The idea that someone, let alone three teenagers, believe they have to be connected at all times to game, watch videos, or cruise social media is so strong that cutting it off can conceivably turn deadly is definitely not something I had on my child raising bingo card.
