It was all a dream. Now it's a reality. J. Cole and his Dreamville clique have notched the No. 1 album in the country with their ambitious project Revenge of the Dreamers III, reports Billboard, on Sunday (July 14).

The star-studded label release came out on Friday (July 5), and features the Dreamville roster of J.I.D., EarthGang, Cozz, Bas, Lute, Ari Lennox and Omen, and has guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, T.I., DaBaby, Ski Mask The Slump God, Smokepurpp, Vince Staples, Childish Major, Young Nudy, Guapdad 4000, Buddy, Reason, Reese LaFlare and more. Over the past week, the project pushed 115,000 units, with 23,000 of that total coming from traditional album sales.

ROTD3 was spearheaded by the single "Middle Child," which became the first song in 2019 to go multi-platinum back in April. Revenge of the Dreamers II peaked at No. 29 on the chart when it was released in 2015.

The making of the album was an arduous task that included a 10-day rap camp in an Atlanta recording studio that saw over 100 artists breeze through to contribute.

"It’s like a super-collaborative environment—inviting, welcoming," explained Cole, who embarked on his KOD Tour last year. "That’s taken me time to learn. I’ve just started learning that lesson about four years ago [with 2014] Forest Hills Drive. Let me listen more. Let me allow people into this world."

Other hip-hop albums in the top 10 in this week's Billboard 200 chart include Chris Brown's Indigo (No. 3), Lil Nas X's 7 (No. 4), Machine Gun Kelly Hotel Diablo (No. 5), Lizzo's Cuz I Love You (No. 6), Post Malone's Beerbongs and Bentleys (No. 8) and Mustard's Perfect Ten at (No. 9).
