Upon the announcement of his final album, Thug Motivation 104, Jeezy's rap persona has seemingly taken a backseat as the hip-hop vet focuses his attention on using his celebrity status for social good.

Early Tuesday morning (June 19), Jeezy announced that he'll be joining Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms to run the AJC Peachtree Road Race in an effort to raise money to support the city's youth. The annual race, in it's 48th year, aims to donate funds to three nonprofit organizations which share a common goal of promoting healthy lifestyles and empowering children to make smart choices.

Over the next month, Jeezy will undergo training and a strict diet that will be shared on social media as he gears up for his fundraising campaign #JeezyRunsPeachtree. The Pressure rapper is also encouraging his celebrity friends and fans to show their support by making a minimum donation of $10 to his cause here. Supporters are also being asked to share their support for Jeezy's effort on their own personal social media accounts as a means to encourage others to donate.

The final amount raised will be presented to the charities at a special event following Jeezy's completion of the race on July 4th. The Atlanta Track Club's Kilometer Kids, Jeezy’s Street Dreamz Foundation, and the City of Atlanta, Mayor’s Youth Scholarship Program are set to be the benefitting organizations.

“I’m excited to be teaming up with Mayor Bottoms to run the iconic Peachtree Road race this year,” Jeezy said in a press release. “Health is wealth and it’s a lifestyle. Let's get it!”

The rap vet also recently shared nuggets of wisdom with a group of young men, over the weekend, in part with Steve Harvey's mentoring program at the Rock Ranch outside of Atlanta. Jeezy spoke extensively about entrepreneurship and the importance of growth.
