Kanye West and Teyana Taylor Shoot the Video for “We Got Love”
Kanye West has taken over the news circuit as of late and now he's bringing Teyana Taylor along or the ride—literally.
While at the TMZ offices in California on Monday (Oct. 1) to explain why he's temporarily heading to Africa to finish Yandhi, he brought Taylor with him to shoot the video for "We Got Love," a song they performed together on Saturday Night Live.
Draped in neon pink, Taylor raps and moves along with the dancers—who are made to look as if they're extras at a T.L.O.P. concert—surrounding the two as 'Ye stares into the camera and provides his adlibs. The media outlet stated the visual would premiere yesterday (Oct. 2), but at the time of publication, it has not been made available.
"We Got Love" was originally slated to be one of the songs on Teyana Taylor's June effort, K.T.S.E., but didn't get an official release because of a rumored Lauryn Hill sample that couldn't get cleared. The song leaked shortly after the album dropped. It's also worth noting that "We Got Love" is the name of Kanye's website, so it's possible that the song could end up on his forthcoming album Yandhi.
While Kanye is off eating bugs with his father, who recently beat cancer, Teyana Taylor is touring in promotion of her G.O.O.D. Music LP without her former tour mate, Jeremih. After numerous claims of mistreatment, the Harlem native decided to perform solo, adding fuel to the fire when she performed with the mother of his son at a recent show.
