We received word from the City of Killeen Thursday morning that the Family Aquatics Center will be open on weekends.

According to a press release from Killeen Communications Director Hilary Shine, the Family Aquatics Center at Lions Club Park will open from Noon to 5 PM Saturdays and Sundays beginning July 11 and will remain closed on weekdays.

In order to comply with state COVID-19 protocols, capacity will be limited to 300 people. Pool and lounge areas will be open, but water slides, the rock wall, basketball hoops and certain spray features will be closed. Face coverings will be required at all times other than while swimming, eating or drinking.

Daily admission is free for children three and younger, $6 for children ages four to 16, $7 for adults ages 17 to 54 and $5 for senior citizens ages 55 and older.

If you need to get your swim during the week, swing over to Long Branch Pool. They have adjusted their hours to 11 AM to 6:00 PM Tuesday through Friday and will now be closed on weekends.
