Killeen Neighborhood Evacuated Due to Suspected Explosive Devices
The discovery of suspected explosive devices prompted the evacuation of a Killeen neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
Marco Revuelta with our news partner, KWTX, reports that a Bell County constable was alerted to the presence of the devices while serving a civil document in the 4400 block of Maggie Drive shortly after 2 PM.
Surrounding homes were evacuated as technicians with Fort Hood's Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team secured and cleared the scene. They were able to remove the devices without incident.
Residents were being allowed back to their homes as of 7:30 PM.
