Killeen Police Department Looking For A Few Good Men And Women

According to their Facebook page, the City of Killeen wants us to be safer together, and to that end the Killeen Police Department is looking for a few good candidates to join the department as officers.

They are currently accepting applications for the position of police officer. Anyone interested in applying is asked to complete and submit an application before 11:59 PM on Sunday, January 31, 2021. To apply, go to www.killeenpd.com.

There are some basic requirements they'll expect you to meet when applying. You must be a citizen of the United States, have graduated from high school or have a GED, and have a minimum of 30 college semester hours from an accredited college or university.

If you don't have that, an honorable discharge from the military or being a licensed Texas peace officer will suffice.

According to the department the starting pay is $50,099, which will go up following your probationary period. There are also medical benefits and other incentives.
