The Killeen Police Department is in need of your help after a home invasion early Sunday morning.

KWTX's Ke'sha Lopez reports that break-in occurred at 5:09 a.m. in the 2200 block of Wheeler Avenue.

A resident told responding officers they were in bed when they heard something downstairs. As they were grabbing a handgun, an unknown male walked into the bedroom and the resident fired at the suspect, who fled the scene in the eastbound direction of Wheeler Avenue.

The suspect is a male in his early 20's, around 5 foot 6 inches, and weighing around 135 pounds. The suspect was last seen in grey warmup pants and no shirt. Detectives believe the suspect was hit when the victim shot at him.

If you have any information on this case or know anyone who does, don't hesitate to contact Crime Stoppers at 254-526-TIPS (8477). You can also contact Crime Stoppers online at www.bellcountycrimestoppers.com.
