Killeen ISD officials say two students were hospitalized Wednesday morning following a traffic collision involving a district bus.

KISD spokesman Terry Abbott told Tiana Maya with our partners at News 10 that a Union Grove Middle School bus carrying four special needs passengers was rear-ended by an SUV on Stagecoach road while en route to the the school.

One of the students aboard the bus was taken to Seton Medical Center. Their condition was not released.

A student inside the SUV was also transported to a hospital. Details about their condition were not released.

The Killeen Daily Herald reports that the crash occurred around 8 AM.
