Due to the fact that it’s a holiday season I don’t want anybody to have to deal with any type of negative energy, I want everyone to not only enjoy the holidays but, enjoy their families and make memories with them for years and years to come. The reality is there are some people who don’t care how your family spends Christmas, or care how they can affect your Christmas when it comes to things like breaking into houses or even robbing you. Here are my three steps on how to avoid becoming a target during the Christmas season.

 THE BUDDY SYSTEM

My number three rule is travel in groups, this is so important when you are by yourself and you are carrying a whole bunch of gifts and groceries, you are making yourself a target if you’re doing it alone. I know that sounds terrible to say but that is just the facts, and no one wants to see you get harmed over a game boy or iPhone.I don’t wanna see anybody get hurt at all so please have a buddy system or a group with you and shopping during the holiday season.

 LOCK IT UP

Number two I don’t know why this is so surprising to people only because 365 days of the year I’ll make sure that I do this, but make sure that your doors are locked! You should just do that on a normal regular basis, but especially during the holiday season. Thieves will walk straight up to your house and take Amazon packages right off your front door, so why don’t you think that they’ll try to open a door to your house or car? Be very careful about that and make sure you double-lock your doors and double-check your doors that they are locked.

LIGHTS OUT

Last but not least my number one rule is to make sure that your outside light is on at appropriate times, what I mean by this is, if you have your outside lights on at 2 PM in the afternoon, this kinda looks like no one is home or being attentive at the house. You do not was someone to realize that, it allows criminals to feel like it’s inviting. Make sure your lights are off when you’re headed out to work and cut them on when you’re coming back in. I want everyone to enjoy their holiday and most importantly enjoy their family so let’s make sure that we keep each other safe this holiday season, happy holidays!

Steve Harvey Put Smiles On These Killeen Faces For Thanksgiving

Every year since the Steve Harvey Morning Show has been on MYKISS 1031, he and his show have teamed up with Walmart to donate turkeys to listeners here in the Killeen area.

In the past, we've donated turkeys on behalf of Steve and the crew to Operation Phantom Support, Communities in Schools, and The Bell County Child Welfare Board.

This year we did it differently and gave the entire public a chance to enter to win a FREE Thanksgiving Turkey courtesy of The Steve Harvey Morning Show and Walmart.

And boy did you take advantage of the opportunity!

We would like to thank you for entering and we hope your Thanksgiving was a great one!

Here are a bunch of smiling faces that were blessed with juicy birds for the holiday, compliments of the Steve Harvey Morning Show, Walmart, and MYKISS1031!
