Killeen, Texas sadly had a tough day for the whole community yesterday as the Justice of the Peace had to declare multiple people dead because of separate homicides. In both cases, the local authorities believe they were able to identify who was responsible, and in both instances there is no additional threat to the public.

Just after 10 PM last night, the Killeen Police Department responded to a 9-1-1 call of a shooting in the 900 block of Southside Drive. When officers arrived, they were able to quickly locate the victim who has yet to be identified, with multiple gunshot wounds and Killeen Emergency Medical Services began providing life saving measures.

The victim was able to be quickly transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, however, by 10:44, the were then declared dead by Justice of the Peace Nicola James. The cause of the shooting is believed to have been the result of a domestic dispute, and a 22 year old suspect was taken to the Killeen City Jail.
