As the new school year is vastly approaching Killeen ISD is preparing to staff up. Thursday the district hosted a job fair where those looking for a job was hired on spot. With positions like custodial staff, bus drivers and substitute teachers available the district is in need of employees.

Over the next couple of weeks Killeen ISD won't be the only district looking to hire. According to KXXV, districts all over Central TX is feeling the shortage specifically with bus drivers. The most crucial parts to keeping education for our youth  running smoothly is lacking employees. From bus drivers to substitute teachers these positions and opportunities are a must fill.

The rates for these positions have really improved over the last year. KISD Board of Trustees has raised pay rates for hourly employees and is now offering a $500 new hire stipend for anyone hired before August 31st.

KISD also offers benefit packages that includes dental, health, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability and paid sick or vacation leave.
