Kodak Black Kicks It in the Studio With Bruno Mars
Kodak Black has wasted no time getting to work since completing a seven-month stint in jail on Aug. 18, and his latest move is major. The rapper was pictured today (Aug. 30) in a recording studio with Bruno Mars.
Two photos from the link-up come to us via Bruno's Instagram. The first image shows the 24K Magic singer seated behind a mixing console while Kodak stands over a notepad with a pen in hand. The second is a selfie in which the South Florida rapper flashes a cold diamond grill. Bruno captioned the post with a thinking-face emoji.
Kodak was serving time for charges stemming from a January arrest that resulted in a conviction for possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of cannabis. During his sentence, he earned his GED, started writing a book and changed his government name from Dieuson Octave to Bill K. Kapri.
While locked up, Kodak also lent vocals recorded on a jail phone to A$AP Rocky's song "Calldrops" and released "Mama" featuring Jadakiss and TXS. His last full-length Heartbreak Kodak dropped in February.
A few days after the rapper's release, he was spotted filming a music video in front of an airplane. Tuesday (Aug. 28) brought the news that, per the Justice Department's recommendation, his probation for the January arrest was terminated.
